Bring joy and craftsmanship to your table setting with the wonderful handwork of Sarah Espeute.

150 x 50 cm

100%  antique French linen with cotton embroidery.  The linen sheets are collected from private individuals all over France. They are between 50 and 100 years old. Each sheet has a family history. They have been carefully selected and cleaned before being resized.

The embroidery is hand-guided on a Cornely machine with black cotton thread.

The Cornely is an embroidery machine designed in the 19th century. It is hand-guided by means of a crank, which gives it great freedom of movement. This forgotten know-how is still used in France by only a few people today.

This double placemat is designed by French artist Sarah Espeute.
The embroidery is done on a Cornely embroidery machine guided by hand by a professional embroiderer in Paris.

The natural tone of the fabric can vary from ecru to cream.
